This year is celebrated in the United States as the official beginning of the nation, with the Declaration of Independence issued on July 4. Also, a well known figure in history Betsy Ross in early June of 1776, according to Betsy's telling, had that fateful meeting with the Committee of Three: George Washington, George Ross, and Robert Morris, which led to the sewing of the first flag. This flag is dedicated to our freedom and our flag.
